By exploring the interplay between calligraphy, prose and poetry, dance, painting, and music, “City Rhyme: The Melodious Notes of Calligraphy” offers visitors a unique opportunity to discover the essence of calligraphic works through the lens of their own experience and interests, while re-examining the significance of preserving our cultural tradition amid the constant advances of technology.

Engaged by the museum as one of the Multimedia Creation production lead, team yucolab and multimedia artist Ng Tsz Kwan encourage viewers to unleash their imagination on the ink strokes and limited visual elements to visualise the rhythmic movements of the calligraphers. With two projection walls surrounding this exhibition section, the team captures the three-dimensional data of a calligrapher using point cloud technology and recreates his movements with animation techniques to stimulate viewers’ imagination.
